About Me
I have devoted my life to fishing and my mission is to make everyone's time on the water as enjoyable as possible!
Growing up in Melbourne meant I was never too far away from some great spots to fish and practice my technique. I have been fortunate enough to learn almost all of our major river systems!
At university, I studied a Bachelor of Environmental Science (Wildlife and Conservation Biology) which was a fantastic degree. It gave me an even better understanding of Australia’s river ecology and how interconnected these systems are.
These days, I spend my time mostly in Melbourne and central Tasmania fishing, guiding, coaching, competing, running clinics and tying flies.
I am a member of the Ballarat Fly Fishing Club in Victoria.
Competition Fishing
I started competitive fly fishing when I was 15 and first represented Australia at the age of 18. I am currently the #1 ranked fly angler in Australia and am the current Australian National Fly Fishing Champion.
I have represented Australia on ten occasions, including the last 7 World Championships which have taken me to Colorado in the USA, the Dolomites in Italy, Tasmania, Asturias in Spain, Liptovsky Mikulas in Slovakia and the French Pyrenees! I finished in the top 30 in the world in all of these tournaments including 4th place in Slovakia in 2023.
The past 15 plus years of competitive angling have taught me a lot and given me the chance to fish some amazing waters. If you're interested in learning more about competition fishing please get in touch with me!
